The season ends this week. Emma's last game is today, but the other 3 have made the playoffs with their teams. But I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Thank You, Michele!

(I can't be left out of blogging about the wonderful mothers in my life.)
My beautiful mother-in-law. I consider her one of my best friends. Even if we haven't talked in weeks (sorry), and all I want to do is complain about my husband (her son), she is there for me, to comiserate with and rejoice with.

I wish we lived closer to each other. (she's in Florida) Although, I think we would exhaust her. She gets her once a year visit in, and she's pooped.

I'd like to tell you a little bit about her and why I admire her so....

Michele is the oldest of 8 siblings. (she had a sister who died of sids)

She watched as her father died at a very young age. She was the oldest and took care of her sisters and brother while her mom went to work. (another woman whom I admire so very much)

She gave birth to my husband when she was just 17 yrs old. I'm glad she cussed out the nun nurses who wanted her to give him up.
She raised her son with strength and perseverance. I don't know if I could make it through what she did.

Times were not easy, by herself, far from family, but she did it. I know my husband is the man today because of the example she set for him. She sacrificed so much for him.
I don't think it was very easy for her to let her son go.  It took some time for us to work through the wrinkles of our relationship. I'm so glad we did!

She is my hero for who she is and what she has done.

We were in the hospital together (in different states). I was getting a new baby and she was getting new hips!

She loves my children fiercely. I know she would do anything for them. They love her and miss her so very much. They love her RIBS!
They are lucky that they don't have to share her with any other grandkids. They are it!

I wish she would take time out for herself and not work so hard, these days. She is so very creative, too. I hope to be able to retire her close to us. I wish we could afford to visit her. Soon, very soon.

Thank you Michele for being who you are and making the choice to raise your son to be the man that he is. I will always be in debt with gratitude to you for him. I love you.

My Daisy Baby Blog design

Do you just LOVE my new blog? I do. It has lifted my spirits and made me feel so very happy. My cute and wonderful friend, Tristan, created it for me. And now, she has decided to make it a business. (I am so lucky, too.) I am so excited for her. She is SOOO very talented. Not just with the computer, but with so many cute things she does for her girls.  Check out her website to see other headers she's done. She has so much talent and I am grateful to her for lifting me up!

Thanks Tristan. You're the best!!!

I'm a blog cheater

I admit I am a cheater. I rarely go to my own blog let alone yours. I use my google reader to keep up with you all. I don't even have my side bars up to date. I hope I haven't offended any one. I hope I'm not alone in this, either ;)

So, if it seems like I've been absent, I haven't been from yours, just my own. The depression has just about taken over. I am battling it every day. Some days I don't know if I'll make it till the end of the day. I don't even enjoy taking pictures that much any more. (which makes me sad) I appreciate all of your blogs and the joy and happiness you experience. It helps me to be somewhere else for a little while. How I wish I could've been at Women's Conf. with you all. Next year for sure. It probably would've been just what I needed.

I'm hoping that as soon as Baseball/softball is over - mostly - I'll start feeling better. Oh, and the upheaval of our lives for a new, and better, chapter of our lives!

Thanks for hanging in there with me.

Dunhaven Place

My friend Heidi has started a blog. She credits it to me, but I think she'd have done it on her own. I am her Visiting teacher (at which I'm HORRIBLE:) but she loves me anyway! I love to go to Heidi's home. She shares her home with a husband and 3 kids. Their place is very small but she has made it an amazing place to be. I love the feeling her home has as you walk in the front gate! She is queen of Shabby Chic! She is an amazing woman. Besides that, she is funny to boot! And for those of you Jane Austin fans, she's written a book of that era and it will be published the Christmas! Please go by her blog and say hi!
