Does any one know how to get ball point pen ink out of..

A DRYER???????

Apparently I have to check pockets, still.  And I won't tell you who's I should check but I will say that He is old enough to know better :) (love you honey)

So the Magic Eraser didn't work, bleach didn't work, windex didn't work, wd40 didn't work. Any suggestions??? PLEASE!!!!!

(fortunately it was with a small load of darks, only a few things are ruined. But I have a load of whites in the wash waiting for the dryer and I'm thinking it might wreck the whites)

I might try contacting the dryer manufacturer and seeing what they say. I'm sure they have to have tests and incidents like this all the time!

It sounds weird, but I can usually get ink out with hairspray. The aerosol kind.

Shoot, Magic Eraser didn't work? That's my go-to spot cleaner. I'm totally out of ideas then. Sorry. :-(

we had the same problem with a blue crayon. only i didn't realize it until four loads later, when everything was stained with blue spots. i was livid.

soft scrub worked well for me. but you're wise not to do any more loads. we ruined a LOT of clothing. frankly, i think you should give up laundry forever.
FOR EVER.

i like the suggestion of calling the manufacrtererer. they probably do have ideas. if not, sue them for not having ideas and use your winnings to buy a new dryer. or a membership in a laundry service.

well, if you've already tried all that, then it's probably stuck for good and won't ruin the whites. Throw in something white and see what happens (like a towel or a sock)

Meanwhile, I always use 409 for pen...

Actually, I change my answer to nail polish remover. with acetone, please.

This is a "Kim" trick that works in clothes. Hairspray. Cheap, cheap hairspray.

Thank yo all, keep em coming. I tried the hairspray, but I don't think it's cheap enough. I better go get some aqua net for the clothes. at least. I took the door off! and scrubbed it down with soft scrub with bleach. I'm drying a wet towel now to wash it down for me. I hope it works enough to take the residual ink out. I'd love a new dryer, but this one is the land ladies and I'm not buying HER a new one!

I'll keep you posted on how it turns out!

I still need to check pockets too. Kelsey has ruined her iPod and cell phone that way.

BORAX. I had that problem with crayons, once upon a time. I think it's officially called "20 Mule Team Borax" or something like that. A box - mostly green.

I was going to say the hairspray but no luck for you there. If it is not coming off with anything it may not come off on your next load either. I would also Google it -- it is amazing what you can find with that search engine!!

Good Luck

Nobody sees the inside of your dryer. Who cares?!

(and fyi, my dryer totally looks like that.)

funny girl...

no suggestions, but I'll check back to see how?

You know me too well... I'm opposite of the majority population - when I get stressed, I forget to eat. weird, I now.

If all those things didn't clean it off I imagine all your other clothing is safe in there. Just a guess...
