I'm just saying. Don't say I didn't warn you. I just want to post for posterity (and if any of you really want to know what a bad leg break and 4 weeks without shaving looks like)
If your squeamish.... don't go any further....
This is of my leg/ankle before anything was done for it and I was in excruciating pain!
(you can kinda of see a large lump where my ankle is)
This is right after the first cast came off. That's where the incision is from surgery.
This is after my leg was all cleaned up, still with the staples
(those came out a few minutes later)
Here is a lovely picture of the new hardware that will make going through security at the airports lots of fun.
This is my pretty purple cast, that my 2 youngest autographed. I had 3 weeks with this baby!
This is after the removal of said purple cast.
(If you want to be totally grossed out, click on the pic and see how long my leg hair is!)
These are my feet tonight. Can you tell which is which? I'm hoping the swelling goes down eventually, and he real color comes back, too.
Just a pretty little side view.

Oh man that seems like it was quite an ordeal! I hope you are up on your two feet with painted toes in no time! :) And that metal just makes you even more unique.
I choose not to click on the picture to make it bigger and really see how long your leg hair way :) I did however look at all the pictures!! Glad you are getting through all of this and I hope you keep healing well!

Hillary,
I have been very bad about keeping up with the blogs. My husband is very sympathetic to your ordeal (he too has had a broken ankle) No fun. Take care and speedy recovery.
